Funeral services for former House Speaker Donald L. Tucker will be live streamed on WFSU Public Television at 3 p.m. Friday.
Services for Tucker will be at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center in Tallahassee. The building was named for him after he helped secure funds for its construction.
Tucker, 84, died Sept. 24 after a 20-year battle against cancer. For much of his life he was a dominant figure in Florida lawmaking, first as a legislator and later as a prominent lobbyist for parimutuels and wholesale liquors.
The service can be watched on the internet by going to WFSU.org and clicking on “live stream.” A reception at the civic center will follow the service.
Gov. Ron DeSantis has ordered the U.S. and Florida flags flown at half staff at the state Capitol, Leon County Courthouse, and Tallahassee City Hall from sunrise to sunset.
