Former President Barack Obama heads to Miami this afternoon to appear at a rally for Democratic  candidate for governor Andrew Gillum and Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate Bill Nelson.

The rally is scheduled to be held at Ice Palace Films Studios – a 1920s ice plant converted into an event space in Miami’s Overtown neighborhood.

It was unclear what time the rally happens this afternoon, but check back at CBS Miami’s live stream and Facebook page.

Obama’s Florida visit follows one by President Donald Trump, stumping at a Tampa rally for Republican gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis and U.S. Sen. candidate Rick Scott.
